Why Lithium Iron?
FAQ's
Yes, as long as it complies with the manufacturer’s specifications in terms of voltage and power capacity.
No. Lithium Iron batteries can be left for an entire season 3-6 months without being charged. Unlike lead acid batteries that loses around 33% per month without being on a charger, Lithium Iron on the other hand loses around 3% of their charge per month.
We recommend that the standard installation is a minimum of 4 batteries although you can go up to 6 batteries with a much longer life cycle before needing to charge the batteries
One of the major benefits of lithium batteries is that they require no maintenance. Lead-acid batteries regularly need to be checked and maintained. This ultimately results in saved man hours and the extra costs of maintenance tools and products. The lack of lead-acid means that chemical spills are avoided and the chance of downtime on your golf car is drastically reduced.
No battery water top-ups required and no corrosion maintenance on Lithium Iron batteries.
Equipping a lithium battery into a golf cart enables the cart to significantly increase its weight-to-performance ratio. Lithium golf cart batteries are a third of the weight of a traditional lead-acid battery, which shaves off two-thirds of the battery weight a golf cart would normally operate with. The lighter weight means the golf cart can reach higher speeds with less effort and carry more weight without feeling sluggish to the occupants.
The weight-to-performance ratio difference lets the lithium-powered cart carry an additional two average-sized adults and their equipment before reaching carrying capacity.

ProLiTE’s lithium Iron batteries have a built in BMS (Battery Management System) with the following safety protections:
1. Over-charge protection
2. Over-discharge protection
3. Over-current protection
4. Short circuit protection
5. Cell balance protection
6. Over temperature protection
Unlike lead-acid batteries where there is no active protection built in.

No battery water top-ups required and no corrosion maintenance on Lithium Iron batteries.
Over the life cycle of the batteries, Lithium Iron batteries is more than 35% cheaper than lead-acid batteries. Please refer to the TCO comparison for a detailed analysis.
Why Lithium over Lead?
Longer life, faster charging & no maintenance are just a few of the advantages lithium has over lead-acid batteries.
